Sarah hopes to take her studies and become an environmental researcher. She was between courses and found she had 2 months to stay in a staff residence and work 4 days a week. Fall is a much quieter time of year but she was able to clean, feed, and treat some patients. She read numerous manuals and books in the MRWC library and spent time discussing procedures and philosophies. She also spent time learning to distinguish tracks and enjoyed a canoe ride or two on the Centre’s wetland.
Jodie is studying to be an Animal Health Technologist. She chose MRWC as part of a new initiative at Olds College called “Stream Your Dream”. Students find 3 animal related businesses or charities to spend a week at as a means to expand their knowledge beyond a vet clinic. Jodie chose two other equine facilities besides our Centre.
Thank you to both girls for their work, interest, and enthusiasm and we wish them good luck in their future careers.
