When one tugs at a single thing in nature, you find it attached to the rest of the world.

    • Preschool to Grade 1/2

We introduce the children to the concept of wildlife rehabilitation and the differences between wild and domestic animals. We use storytelling, pictures and one or more of our education animals. The children learn how every one of them can make a difference to help wildlife.

      Duration: 30 to 40 minutesSize: Min - 12, Max - 30 Book Program
    • Grades 2/3 to 6

The program is similar for these ages with appropriate varying degrees of detail and depth. Through a digital presentation we introduce the students to the concept of wildlife rehabilitation showing our hospital procedures and what people can do when finding injured wildlife. We give an overview of the species we treat and the injuries we see. Next, a discussion on how humans impact wildlife and actually create the hazards, causing the injuries. We cross over into social issues and talk about how rumours and "bullying" harms both people and the environment. We attempt to leave students with the feeling that they have the power to make a difference.

      Duration: 75 minutesSize: Min - 12, Max - 80 Book Program
